Greetings from Pastor Gary
I hope you’re doing well and staying warm. We felt the wise decision was to cancel the service this morning and stay off the roads. We’ve rescheduled Wayne Cordeiro for February 19.
I do hope you’re joining me in our daily reading and praying through the Lord’s Prayer. Today’s reading from John 6 is challenging from many angles. I was stopped in my tracks by verse 15.
“When Jesus saw that they were ready to force him to be their king, he slipped away into the hills by himself.” John 6:15
A simple thought I’ll pass on. We all have unbelieving people we pray for daily. We love them and we know God loves them. But remember, no one can be forced to believe. So stay faithful to them, don’t ever stop praying and believing. Remain unconditional in your love for them. Even Jesus heads for the hills when we get close to crossing that line.
We will be having R58 this Wednesday, January 11 at 7-8 pm. This will be a time of worship and prayers as we dive into the New Year as a church! Join us as we will have a live band and powerful prayer. Especially after not being together today, I hope to see you Wednesday!
