Pentecost Sunday

Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re having a fantastic week.

This Sunday, June 4, marks two special events and I want to encourage you to make every effort to attend. Eight weeks ago we kicked off our annual First Fruits giving event. We’ve done this for over 15 years and gather together to celebrate the great things God has done for us and acknowledge that everything we have comes from Him! He wants to bless us and make us a blessing to others (Genesis 12:1-3)! While some have already given, this Sunday we’ll officially receive the First Fruits and regular offerings during the Exchange as we take communion together.

This Sunday is also Pentecost Sunday and besides baptizing some in water, we’ll be praying for all who wish to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. We’ve been in “The Holy Spirit” series since Easter paralleling the time sequence that Jesus commanded the disciples in Acts 1:1-8 as well as the original Old Testament event recorded in Exodus 19. The entire structure of the Feasts of Israel (Passover – Pentecost – Tabernacles – Leviticus 23) serve as a picture of the New Testament “Israel”, the Church (Galatians 3:26-29). Pentecost which is the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Godhead/Trinity is a very significant day in history and this Sunday we plan to celebrate that. I hope you’ll join us!!

I love being your pastor!
